Hi, I’m Tortilla

Hey there, my name is Tortilla and I'm a cute Macquarie River turtle!

I enjoy swimming around in my pond and climbing up on my logs to bask in the sun. I can be picked up but would much prefer to cruise around in my pond and watch what you're doing from there.

I am omnivorous, which means I like to eat a range of food including thawed frozen fish, pellets, crickets, mealworms and vegetables.

I can grow to around 30cm and will require a suitable sized tank or pond with adequate filtration, hides, rocks, heat lamp, a place to bask and UV lighting. While I'm little, you will need to make sure I have an adequate number of spots to rest on.
