Hi, I’m Cole

Hi there my name is Cole and I'm a stunning Black-headed or Black-tailed Monitor!
We have a huge natural range from Western Australia, through the Northern Territory, into Queensland and New South Wales.

I have personality with a capital 'P' as you can see from my photos. I can be picked up out of my enclosure but am not super keen of staying in your hands.
I LOVE climbing and adventuring over every wall of my enclosure - this is totally normal for my species, so make sure my enclosure is decked out with branches!

In the wild we are mainly carrion eaters - to replicate this at home I like eating egg, insects, organ meats, rodents, quails with a little sprinkle of the green stuff! Make sure you're ready for the commitment, I require a UV light, heat lamp and a hide if I need a getaway.
