Rats are curious, energetic, and playful, making them an excellent choice for families, couples, or individuals seeking a small pet with a lot of personality. They are intelligent and can learn tricks, recognize their owners, and form strong bonds.

Rats are social creatures that need plenty of interaction and mental stimulation. It's highly recommended to adopt at least two rats to ensure they have a companion, as loneliness can lead to stress and behavioral problems.

Rats need an appropriately sized cage, preferably with horizontal bars for climbing and exploring. The cage should be kept clean and provide plenty of space for toys, tunnels, and bedding. As they grow, their space requirements will increase
