Hi, I’m Delilah
DELILAH is a sweet, gentle girl, who's ready to start her new 'FOREVER' life with a loving family. A 'FOREVER' life, for a kitten who has been well cared for, means approx 15 years, therefore this is a huge commitment that must be carefully considered.
She is a little shy with so much activity happening in the Shelter, however she is progressing well as she is being helped by staff and volunteers who have daily patting sessions with her. She loves you to spend time with her - talking softly to her and giving her gentle pats. When she has become comfortable with you, she will respond with lots of purrs and cuddles and be your forever friend. Please read on to find out how to meet her needs:-
NUTRITIOUS DIET AND CARE:- A diet of high-quality dry biscuits, a couple of daily servings of wet food and available bowls of fresh, cool water. The last 2 items are extremely important for a cat's hydration. Regular visits to vet are important and are still needed when she has left our Shelter.
AN INSIDE LIFESTYLE ONLY:- The RSPCA strongly recommends that cats live inside for their safety and the safety of the outside wildlife. Delilah can have an exciting, inside lifestyle with the addition of a couple of large cat scratchers near a window and in a family room. This will help protect your furniture, will keep Delilah's muscles and nails healthy, and also cats love to go up high. Wand toys, warm beds and cardboard boxes are also great fun for you and your cat to bond.
FRIENDS:- We are seeking loving human companions for Delilah, who will treat her as a treasured member of their family. Most kittens are very adaptable and we see Delilah living with cat-savvy, gentle children, another cat or perhaps a dog, if Delilah is helped co-habit with them.
A "LAUNCH ROOM":- This is a temporary area (bedroom or crate) that Delilah can feel secure in if she becomes overwhelmed in the home. This will help greatly with her transition to your new home. Providing this is definitely worth the effort and can make a difference between success or stress! Purrs from Delilah.
