Hi, I’m Frances

Good morning/evening! My name is Frances and I'm a Quaker Parrot. My species are known for our charming, comical personalities and willingness to learn human speech. We make an excellent choice for bird lovers who want all the fun of a large parrot in a smaller package! We're a popular pet, good for dedicated beginners, and adapt well to living in a "human flock" setting. Oh, and just a little trivia about my species' name for you: Some people say we Quakers got our name because of the grey on the front of our necks that looks like an old-fashioned Quaker bib. (People also say the monk name came from the colour going up the back of our head like a monk's hood!).
