Hi, I’m Merlot
Meet Merlot, a sweet and gentle 4-year-old cat who is ready to find her forever home! Merlot comes from a loving family who, unfortunately, couldn't continue caring for her due to personal circumstances, though it was absolutely no fault of her own. After arriving at the shelter, she understandably became overwhelmed and a bit hissy and growly when handled closely, as it was a stressful environment for her.
However, since being placed in foster care, Merlot has truly blossomed! She's shown her loving side and enjoys receiving gentle pats and attention. Merlot is a playful girl with a good balance-she knows how to play and has learned to self-regulate her energy well.
Merlot absolutely loves food-she's not picky at all and will happily enjoy any tasty treat that comes her way!
She's still adjusting to new situations, so her ideal family would be patient and understanding as she continues to settle into her new life. A calm, quieter environment would help her feel more secure as she opens up more and more.
