Meet Roberto & Ross - The Dynamic Duo of the Coop! Roberto and Ross didn't choose the rooster life - it chose them! These two inseparable best buds came in together and have formed a legendary bromance full of sunbathing, synchronized strutting, and gentle gossiping with the hens. While they're still a bit unsure about being picked up, they're friendly at heart and would thrive on a peaceful acreage or farm, surrounded by other chickens and room to roam. If you've got space, patience, and a soft spot for rooster bromance, Roberto and Ross are ready to fluff their feathers and strut into your heart!
Inexperienced adopters suitable however must go to a home where roosters are welcomed and accepted
Will need to be provided a mix of chicken seed and vegetables for a healthy and balanced diet
Will require a suitable and secure pen with high perches to sleep safely
Would ideally love Ross and Roberto to be adopted out together as they are quite bonded
** Adopters will need to check their property size in regard to council laws surrounding the keeping of roosters. Property size of 20,000m2 is required in MBRC per rooster. Adoption price- $30 for the bonded pair.

- A property check may be required before ADOPTION to ensure the safety and welfare of adoption animals. Rental agreements allowing pets will be required for adoptions into rental properties. Differential pricing may apply.
- The website is live and updates frequently, there is a chance that by the time you have completed the Apply to Adopt form the animal you have an interest in might have been adopted by another party.
- While our shelters are open, not every pet available for adoption will be onsite and available in person. To express your interest, Apply to Adopt online and if it's a perfect match you will be shortlisted and contacted via phone by our Adoption Team to discuss the animal in detail.
