Hi, I’m Layla
Meet Layla, our sweet, sensitive young lady! Layla dreams of being an indoor companion, part of a loving family. She can be quite nervous and anxious, so it's important for her new owner to create a calm environment where she can take her time exploring and adjusting. Ideally, she would thrive with someone at home more often in her first couple of weeks.
While she scored mild on her assessments, she does exhibit some anxious behaviors, like tail tucking and jumping for attention. To help her feel secure, introducing her to a crate as a safe space can be beneficial. You can also engage her with daily enrichment activities, such as frozen Kongs and licky mats, which stimulate her mind and provide comfort. Layla may be a bit wary of close handling, so older children or teens in the home would be ideal. She would do best as the only dog in a home without dog parks or off-leash areas. If you're ready to provide a gentle and nurturing environment for Layla, she can't wait to meet you!

- While our shelters are open, not every pet available for adoption will be onsite and available in person. To express your interest, Apply to Adopt online and if it's a perfect match you will be shortlisted and contacted via phone by our Adoption Team to discuss the animal in detail.
