Hi, I’m Monty
Meet Monty, the social and friendly giant who just wants to be part of the family! This affectionate pup enjoys spending most of his time indoors, where he loves lounging on the couch and sharing a bed with his older human brother. Monty is fully toilet trained and has a big heart to match his size!
While he's a loyal companion, Monty doesn't enjoy being left alone for long periods-he can get a bit anxious and VERY excited when you return! He thrives on attention and companionship, so ideally, he wouldn't be left alone for more than two hours at a time.
Monty loves his daily walks and playtime, and his favorite food? Chicken, of course! He previously had 1.8m fencing and is known to escape or barge through the front door, so a secure environment is a must.
Though he hasn't lived with other animals, Monty is social with dogs and has shown interest in making friends, but he was noted to live next to cats. While he did meet kittens in the shelter and behaved non-aggressively, a proper introduction is still necessary.
Monty hasn't had much interaction with small children, so a meet-and-greet is essential. He travels well in the car, enjoys playing with toys, and loves to rush up to other dogs to say hello.
As an "only child" dog, Monty loves to love and will form a strong bond with his new family. Please be patient as he may experience some separation anxiety while adjusting to his new home. If you're ready to welcome a loyal and affectionate companion into your life, Monty can't wait to meet you!

- While our shelters are open, not every pet available for adoption will be onsite and available in person. To express your interest, Apply to Adopt online and if it's a perfect match you will be shortlisted and contacted via phone by our Adoption Team to discuss the animal in detail.
