Hi, I’m Demi
Demi is a beautiful, gentle girl, who's ready to start her new 'FOREVER' life with a loving family. A 'FOREVER' life, for a kitten who has been well cared for, means approx 15 years, therefore this is a huge commitment that must be carefully considered.
Demi was born just after her mother arrived in RSPCA foster care. Demi has 5 other siblings, who are also getting ready to move into their new adoptive homes. Demi has a stunning, thick grey coat with white tuxedo markings. She is a curious and playful girl who is learning to interact with different humans. We are fortunate to have staff and volunteers who have daily interactions and patting sessions with the kittens to help them progress. We strongly advise following the below recommendations:
NUTRITIOUS DIET AND CARE:- A diet of high-quality dry biscuits, a couple of daily servings of wet food and available bowls of fresh, cool water. The last 2 items are extremely important for a cat's hydration. Regular visits to vet are important and are still needed when she has left our Shelter.
AN INSIDE LIFESTYLE ONLY:- Why? The RSPCA strongly recommends that cats live inside for their safety and the safety of the outside wildlife. Entertainment and fun inside your home can be provided by installing a couple of large cat scratchers near a window and in a family room. Why? To protect your furniture, to keep Demi's muscles and nails healthy, and also cats love to go up high. Wand toys, warm beds and cardboard boxes are also great entertainment for you and your cat to have fun and bond.
FRIENDS:- We are seeking loving human companions for Demi, who will treat her like a member of their family. Most kittens are very adaptable and we see Demi living with cat-savvy, gentle children, another cat or perhaps a dog, if Demi is helped co-habit with them.
A "LAUNCH ROOM":- This is a temporary area (bedroom or crate) that Demi can feel secure in if she becomes overwhelmed in the home. This will help greatly with her transition to your new home. Providing this is certainly worth the effort and can make a difference between success or stress! Purrs from Demi.
