Hi, I’m Lulu
Lulu is a beautiful, gentle little girl, who's ready to start her new 'FOREVER' life with a loving family. A 'FOREVER' life, for a feline who has been well cared for, means approx 15 years, therefore this is a huge commitment that must be considered. Little Lulu arrived at our Shelter as a tiny girl weighing .66 of a kg. Her mother and her four siblings also came in with her.
Lulu has a beautiful, thick black and white coat. Lulu and her siblings all have very different temperments, with Lulu preferring to sit way, way back and watch the action especially when humans are involved. Lulu has made some great advances with her human socialisation. We are fortunate to have staff and volunteers who have regular interactions and patting sessions with the kittens to help them progress. We strongly advise following the below recommendations:-
CARE AND A NUTRITIOUS DIET:- A diet of high-quality dry biscuits, a couple of daily servings of wet food and available bowls of fresh, cool water. The last 2 items are extremely important for a cat's hydration. Regular visits to vet are important.
AN INSIDE LIFESTYLE ONLY:- Why? The RSPCA strongly recommends that cats live inside for their safety and the safety of the outside wildlife. Please refer to the website:- https://safeandhappycats.com.au. Entertainment inside your home can be provided by installing a couple of large cat scratchers near a window and in a family room. Why? To protect your furniture, to keep Lulu's muscles and nails healthy, and also cats love to go up high. Wand toys and cardboard boxes are also great entertainment for you and your cat to have fun and bond.
FRIENDS:- We are seeking loving human companions for Lulu, who will treat her like a member of their family. Most kittens are very adaptable and we see Lulu living with cat-savvy, respectable children, other cats and perhaps a dog, if Lulu is helped co-habit with them.
A "LAUNCH ROOM":- This is a temporary area (bedroom or crate) that Lulu can feel secure in when or if she becomes overwhelmed in the home. Providing this is certainly worth the effort and can make a difference between success or stress!
