Meet Friday, a charming male pony with a bit of a stubborn streak. While he may be a bit hesitant with handling, he has potential and a lot of heart. Unfortunately, Coffee and his friend Friday have come into RSPCA care due to being attacked by dogs, luckily wounds were superficial and healed in no time! This and the limited exposure to regular training and human interaction have made Coffee and Friday a bit wary and cautious of people. The farm vollies have found carrots and just being in each other's presence as a good olive branch and started to build bonds and trust with these two. Ideally Friday's new adopter would have experience in working with ponies or horses who can provide firm but gentle training. A calm, patient environment where Friday can progress at his own pace. A space where he can develop a routine and grow comfortable with regular grooming, leading, and other basic handling tasks. Preferably, access to other horses or ponies who can provide companionship and help with his socialization. Friday may need some time to adjust to a new routine and handler, but with the right approach, he could become a wonderful companion. His adopter should be prepared for slow, consistent progress, and offer plenty of positive reinforcement as he learns to trust and engage more fully.
