Babs is already showing off her brains with tricks like sit and shake, and she's eager to learn even more - especially if there are tasty treats involved! She absolutely thrives on positive reinforcement and will shine in a home that's ready to keep her brain buzzing with training, games, and food-based enrichment.
Babs needs to be a true part of the family - snuggling on the couch, snoozing in the sun indoors - she can be a bit unsure of handling or restraint though, so a gentle, patient approach will help build trust and a strong bond. As Babs is an intelligent lady, she can get bored when left to her own devices, so her new owner should be around to settle her in and gradually work on leaving her alone for short periods. Crate or mat training would give her a calm, cozy place to relax, and feeding her meals through puzzle toys or enrichment activities will keep that bright little brain busy. She's so smart - it's honestly one of her most endearing quirks!
Socially, Babs is playful and loves other dogs once she's had a chance to meet them properly, though she can be loud and over-enthusiastic at first. A calm, structured introduction is the best way to help her make furry friends. She might be a bit much for some dogs - and she's definitely not a dog park girl. If you have another canine friend already in your home, a meet-and-greet at the shelter will help make sure it's the right match.

- A property check may be required before ADOPTION to ensure the safety and welfare of adoption animals. Rental agreements allowing pets will be required for adoptions into rental properties. Differential pricing may apply.

- While our shelters are open, not every pet available for adoption will be onsite and available in person. To express your interest, Apply to Adopt online and if it's a perfect match you will be shortlisted and contacted via phone by our Adoption Team to discuss the animal in detail.
