Last call for "Walkies"!

Posted Apr 10, 2025
Celebrate RSPCA's Million Paws Walk fundraising event for the final time across Australia in 2025.

For the past three decades, love has transformed the lives of all creatures great and small.

With the help of up to 1.6 million paws - that’s 400,000 super pooches - and more than 750,000 superhumans, RSPCA’s iconic Million Paws Walk has raised a phenomenal $17 million for animals in need over its 30-year history.

This year, our fundraising event will hang up its leash across Australia and we’d love to welcome you and your four-legged canine companions to celebrate one last lap with us for the event’s final send-off!

Your support transforms lives

We wanted to share happy stories that your support of Million Paws Walk has helped make possible!

Helping to provide emergency vet care

Beautiful Millie was found in Mackay with an injury to her eye which required urgent surgery. Having just one eye didn’t hold Millie back from finding love.

Millie’s new family:

“She is doing great! She has settled in really well with her big brother Rocco and loves to annoy him by stealing his toys and making Rocco chase her for them. Millie loves people and gets very excited over meeting new faces and she will do anything for a cuddle. Millie loves her food and her sleep (as most pups do) and her favourite spot to relax is on her inside bed close to her favourite humans and big brother Rocco.”

Helping unwanted animals find love

When this litter of 10 pups had nowhere else to go, your support helped them get the love and care they deserved at the RSPCA until they could find happy new homes.

Sadie’s adopter:

“Sadie is a loved and adored member of our family who is settling into her new life at the coast like she was born to be here. Sadie is clever, affectionate and has a gentle personality with some unique quirks and traits (including sleeping half on an off furniture). Sadie learns really quickly and already recognises the sounds of peoples cars and knows when the kids are coming home and is ready waiting for them at the gate each afternoon. Sadie can sit, shake and is completely toilet trained now.”

Helping animals recover from cruelty and neglect

Handsome Henry was severely emaciated with multiple medical issues when our RSPCA Inspectors brought him into care. After much-needed care and support, he was adopted by his doting foster carer. Henry now lives a wonderful life with two other RSPCA dogs:

“He loves every human - big and small - and every other animal he meets. He is the sweetest man, loves to snuggle on the couch, has perfect cafe manners when we take him out and loves the beach. He is a "talker" and lets me know when the next-door neighbours kids are on their way.”

On Sunday May 25, walk with us to help animals less fortunate than your own. Let’s celebrate one last Million Paws Walk and help end animal cruelty and neglect!
