With 333 dogs and cats currently up for adoption, RSPCA Queensland is reducing their adoption fees to help them find loving homes faster.
$49 adult cats, $199 adult dogs *some exclusions apply. Until November 7, 2022.
“We’re hoping to see more people apply to adopt, as we have noticed a steady decline in adoption interest since July this year,” says RSPCA Queensland spokesperson Emma Lagoon.
In an update to a recent RSPCA call for information, a dog that was found tethered to a tree at Tovey Park, Boronia Heights, has now recovered from his ordeal and is looking for a new home.
“Now affectionately named Banksy, he’s currently available to adopt at our Brisbane RSPCA and hoping to start a wonderful new life,” says Ms Lagoon.
Inspectors were able to identify the dog’s previous owner who surrendered him for rehoming.
The RSPCA thanks those that came forward, “Thank you to everyone who responded with information and helped our team with their investigation.
“Banksy’s owner was very upset when they found out what had happened. But as they couldn’t guarantee his safety in the future, they decided he should be rehomed,” says Ms Lagoon.
