Mandie came into our care after her owner sadly passed away. Mandie was part of the RSPCA's Pet Legacy program. Her owner kindly included a gift to RSPCA Qld in his Will and we helped Mandie find her furever home.
When we first met Mandie she was extremely timid, but we could tell she had been very well loved and cared for. Mandie spent some time with our behaviour team so she could overcome her fears. Her world had turned upside-down and she needed a guiding light.
After a while with our team Mandie was ready to find a suitable foster family, used to caring for timid dogs. 12 months had passed and Mandie had progressed in leaps and bounds with her foster family. So much so that her foster mum decided that Mandie no longer needed to look for a new home, she had found it.
Mandie is a very special, loving companion. She loves other dogs, enjoys her walks and is once again, living life to the fullest.
As a Pet Legacy animal, Mandie was able to receive special care with the RSPCA after her owner’s passing. We were able to ensure that she found her new loving furever home.
