In a further sign that RSPCA Qld are pulling out all stops to rehome more animals, the Society will  host its sixth Pop Up Adoption event on Saturday 18th January from 9am to 2pm. Cost: Gold Coin donation.

Dogs and cats from RSPCA Care Centres and foster homes will converge on the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre hoping to find their forever home.

Dogs, cats, puppies and kittens will all be available for adoption on the day and there will key RSPCA departments such as the Inspectorate, Veterinary Services and Foster Care and Volunteering on hand to answer questions and give advice.

For the first time four Queensland rescue groups will be bringing their animals to the event. (All Breeds Canine Rescue, Happy Tails Animal Rescue, QLD Staffy & Am Staff Rescue and Friends of the Hound)

“This year the event once again coincides with the Lifeline Bookfest so the whole day will be very family orientated,” said RSPCA Qld spokesperson Michael Beatty.

“ Lifeline do a wonderful job and we’re thrilled to be “sharing the bill” on their opening day. I’m sure they will have a ton of books relating to pet care and animals in general so it’s perfect mix for both of us. In our area we’ll have demonstrations, food and RSPCA stalls and information stands.  It will be a great day out for all and we can’t wait to see you there and help you find your forever pet.”

Due to convention centre regulations people are unable to bring their pets to the event. However adoption staff will provide people with resources that will help them introduce their pet to their new adopted animal.

Parking is available at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre from $15
