Amy Kilgour has 9 years' experience volunteering with us and says she loves her role because she can help all the abused and neglected animals that come into care.
“I have been doing this since I was 16 and I just want all the animals to feel safe and loved, no matter what breed or type of animal they are. Every animal deserves a second chance,” says Ms Kilgour.
“I think that once an animal is welcomed into your family and they feel the love you can give them and the trust you put in them, they’ll be your new best friend.”
RSPCA Queensland’s Townsville-based Volunteer Driver and Op Shop Assistant Avril Plath said volunteering was all about the animals.
“While volunteering with RSPCA you will have the opportunity to meet other like-minded people who are just so passionate about what they do,” says Ms Plath.
