Five kittens discovered by a young girl were dumped at 4-weeks-old beside some Lifeline bins. She took them to the local vet, who alerted the RSPCA.
An RSPCA inspector collected the kittens and rushed them to the Brisbane RSPCA Animal Care Campus for treatment. All five had cat flu, were malnourished and riddled with fleas. Our Inspectorate investigated the situation, but nearby surveillance cameras were not working, and interviews with locals produced no leads.
Luckily the homeless kittens got a second chance in the RSPCA Foster Program. The foster program is a crucial service provided by the RSPCA, nurturing those who need it most. Enthusiastic, compassionate volunteers provide much-needed love and support for animals who need temporary care prior to becoming available for adoption.

After five weeks in foster care, these kittens are healthy, happy, and endlessly affectionate, keeping their foster family entertained. Now approximately eight-weeks-old, the kittens will be ready to be adopted into a loving ‘furever’ home very soon.
