RSPCA Qld believes people and pets are better together. The emotional, mental and physical benefits of the relationships between people and pets highlights the importance of proactive community outreach.

We all love our pets, but sometimes people need extra support to care for their animals. Illness, lack of accessible veterinary care, low income and lack of pet ownership education can result in even the most devoted pet owner having to relinquish their beloved pet.
All outreach clients are means-tested to ensure valuable veterinary service and pet care resources can be provided to the people who require it most.
Our current support services include:
- Community Days, providing pet care support with vaccination and microchipping
- Free Pet Bank - access to food, bedding, harness and other essential items
- Education about responsible pet ownership, pet behaviour and common pet issues
- Renting with pets information
Additionally, for business and community referrers, educational training and resources are available by RSPCA QLD professionals; helping enable a wider support for clients and their pets.
Keeping pets and people together is often the best outcome for the pets, their owners, and the community. Strong bonds between people and their pets make for stronger communities. We're here to help and together we change lives.
